Jedi Knight Qui-Gon Jinn (Liam Neeson) has as his acolyte and page a young man named Obi-Wan Kenobi (Ewan McGregor). Their mission is to protect a young Queen named Padme Amidala (Natalie Portman). To protect the Queen, they take her to Tatooine where they meet a child named Anakin Skywalker (Jake Lloyd) who has potential to be a knight and whose personality strikes a chord with both Ob-Wan and Qui-Gon. With the queen in tow, they must settle a major economic dispute or thrust the civilized universe into war. They are joined by Jar Jar Binks (Ahmed Best) in their mission, but difficult questions begin to emerge about the identity of this woman. |
