Following their stunning victory against the evil Galactic Empire, the members of the Rebellion have gathered their forces together on the remote ice planet, Hoth. With the Empire never far away, though, their base is soon discovered, invaded and the rebels forced to flee for both their lives and their cause. Young Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill), heeding the counsel he received in a vision from his mentor, Obi-Wan Kenobi (Alec Guinness), journeys with his trusty droid sidekick, R2-D2 (Kenny Baker), to the Dagobah system where he will be instructed in the ways of the force by the Jedi Master, Yoda (Frank Oz). Meanwhile, Han Solo (Harrison Ford), Princess Leia Organa (Carrie Fisher), the wookie Chewbaccca (Peter Mayhew), and jumpy protocol droid C-3PO (Anthony Daniels) are on their way to Bespin, a mining colony run by Han’s one-time friend and colleague, Lando Calrissian (Billy Dee Williams). However, things may not be as they appear in the seemingly lovely and peaceful city in the clouds. Will Luke be able to complete his training and become a Jedi knight, capable of defeating the Dark Lord Darth Vader (David Prowse, voice of James Earl Jones) and his evil Empire, or will he be forced to make a choice between saving the lives of his friends and saving all that they strand for?
