"Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines" is the third leg in the popular Terminator movie series. It stars Nick Stahl as a grown up John Connor and Arnold Schwarzenegger, who returns as a "good guy" terminator. Arnold's mission this time is to protect both Katherine Brewster and John Connor from a more advanced T-X terminator. Skynet, a computerized defense system, is put in charge of the government military systems. It turns out that Skynet has become self aware and tries to destroy the human race. Since the human race's survival depends on John Connor, the "old" terminator (Arnold) is sent back to shelter both him and Brewster, who will be Connor's future wife. The second T-X terminator is sent back through time in an effort to kill off Connor's future high ranking captains in an effort to gain an advantage in the coming war between humans and machines. |
