Mike and Marcus team up as a police detective duo that trades as many insults and snappy one-liners, as they do bullets with the enemy. The two have been hired to protect a witness from “the bad guys” all the while attempting to confiscate a large supply of heroin which was swiped from their police station. The film’s action centers around the criminals Mike Lowry (Will Smith) and Marcus Burnett (Martin Lawrence) are trying to apprehend. The comedy is strongly centered around the dichotomy between the two detectives, with Mike being the hip single Casanova, and Marcus, living as a family man. |
